Norah and Ryan chose Alsace and autumn to say yes! A carefully considered choice in view of the diversity of the provenances of their guests: 25 different nationalities! It was therefore necessary to find a place “in the middle” of these multiple horizons, a wedding at Morimont, in the heart of Alsace…
Norah shares with us their story and the story of this wedding in Alsace… “Ryan and I met in Hong Kong, during a stay in a hostel. We have both crisscrossed the world and have, for example, cycled 6,000 km across Asia to highlight the work of the Red Cross. “

“For the place, the crush was immediate! A cozy little hotel, a barn and ruins of a castle in the middle of the forest: all the ingredients were united to share unforgettable moments, out of time, with our loved ones. The hotel “Le Morimont” was the perfect horsehair! The instructions were clear: an informal wedding and simple, no bling-bling! And especially, our guests coming from far, we wanted to enjoy for 3 days, with what it meant in terms of organization, with a different place for each evening and several places to accommodate guests.
This will be the first goal of 18 months of preparations, which we entrusted to Odile from the agency Sous le Charme. The opportunity to visit us several times in this beautiful region “.
“The reception evening took place in a local winstub atmosphere, with Alsatian decoration, dishes and specialties. For the wedding day, simplicity was also the order of the day: the dishes were served directly at the table, for more conviviality! The menu prepared by the Atelier culinaire : an autumn soup, a pig on the spit with some seasonal accompaniments, a buffet of desserts with wedding cake by the pastry chef Cabosse, all of an extreme finesse! The choice of the photographer was as obvious: Didier Neupap will be with us to immortalize one of the most beautiful days of our life! On the logistics side, our guests were transported in beautiful old buses throughout the weekend by the bus company “Edmond Flecher”.
“For the decoration, the team Sous le Charme, the florists of Bleu et Coquelicot and the creator of Artbobois have done wonders, we wanted a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with delicacy, but always in all simplicity. atmospheres were thought of in the attention to detail, it was very successful! “
“The bet of getting married in October in Alsace was daring, but we were incredibly lucky, the day was hot and sunny! The ceremony and cocktail took place in the ruins of Morimont, under a fall light in a magical atmosphere!
We entrusted the animation to DJ Dancepolice, his vinyl bar was really great! The day continued with Norwegian games brought by Ryan’s family. During the evening, one of our friends kindly took the role of toastmaster, the speeches and his humor punctuated the dinner. The dancefloor was stormed, always with the excellent sound of DJ Dancepolice, and until dawn! We really had an exceptional weekend, these moments with our loved ones will remain unforgettable! “
As our guests came from all over the world, we invited them to wear traditional outfits for an atypical but very successful mix!
We really wanted an intimate cocktail after a very moving ceremony, so we asked the caterer to limit the comings and goings of the staff.
